Our story
Since 1972
Teuco was founded in 1972 in Montelupone, in the Marche region of Italy, by Virgilio Guzzini. From the start it worked with acrylic, then a new material for the bathroom, and used it as the basis for a different way of thinking about the room.
Over the years the brand developed its own technologies and materials, including Hydrosonic, Hydrosilence and Hydroline, and Duralight, an acrylic-based composite. Designers who worked with Teuco include Giovanna Talocci, Fabio Lenci, Jean-Michel Wilmotte, Ron Arad, Carlo Colombo and Matteo Nunziati.
Teuco projects received honourable mentions at the ADI Compasso d’Oro, selection for the ADI Design Index 2011, a Red Dot Design Award in 2012 and a Red Dot Best of the Best in 2014.

Teuco is founded
Virgilio Guzzini founds Teuco in Montelupone, in the province of Macerata, to make acrylic baths.
1987–1991
Honourable mentions at the ADI Compasso d’Oro
Three honourable mentions, in 1987, 1989 and 1991, for Teuco projects by Giovanna Talocci: the Quadra taps, the 240 bath with porthole and the two-person shower.
1995
Hydrosonic
The patent that combines whirlpool massage with high-frequency sound waves.
2006
Hydrosilence
The patent for a silent whirlpool system.
2008
Ron Arad and Jean-Michel Wilmotte
At Milan’s Fuorisalone Teuco presents two projects in Duralight: Geografia by Jean-Michel Wilmotte and Rotator by Ron Arad, a bath that turns into a shower as it rotates.
2011
Hydroline and the ADI Design Index
Whirlpool jets become fine flush-cut slots. The Paper bath with Hydroline, by Giovanna Talocci, is selected for the ADI Design Index 2011.

Red Dot Design Award
For the Outline bath by Carlo Colombo.

2024
Teuco Home is born
Milano Home Design, a JF Capital company, is formed with the acquisition of RiFRA. Milano Home Design owns the Teuco brand, and Teuco Home is born.

Complete interiors for contract projects
Today Teuco Home is the evolution of that brand. The Teuco brand is owned by Milano Home Design, the JF Capital company that also owns RiFRA. Teuco Home furnishes contract projects: residential buildings, hotels, spas and real estate developments, with kitchens, bathrooms, living areas, wardrobes and wellness spaces.
RiFRA’s contract work, 23 projects and 1,573 units in 6 countries, is now presented as Teuco by RiFRA. Working with RiFRA, Teuco Home takes each project from design to installation.
Made in Italy
Made in Italy, with a short supply chain
Design and manufacturing take place in Italy: the factory and offices are in Gerno di Lesmo, in the Brianza area north of Milan.
A short supply chain means every stage can be followed closely, suppliers can be chosen nearby, and lead times and transport are kept down.
